Scholarly Publishing and Communication Health Sciences Library System (HSLS)

The Health Sciences Library System (HSLS) at the University of Pittsburgh offers a wide array of information services, educational opportunities, and resources in print and electronic format to faculty, students, and researchers in the schools of the health sciences (Medicine, Dental Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, and Public Health).

Publishing Consultation:

Librarians offer consultations on writing up research, publication ethics, determining where to submit, open access publishing, author rights, promoting research, peer reviewing, complying with reporting guidelines, disseminating other research outputs like data and code, and how to post a preprint.

The University Library System is available to help researchers outside of the health sciences.
