Locally, CTSI’s Pitt+Me Research Registry is a community of volunteers and researchers working together. Pitt+Me connects studies with a database of over 300,000 willing volunteers and is offered as a free service to University of Pittsburgh researchers.

CTSI also has a team of experienced Recruitment Facilitators who are happy to provide free consultations to help with recruitment planning and troubleshooting.

The Community Research Advisory Board (CRAB) was established by the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health with the mission of helping researchers understand how to engage local communities in research. They meet monthly with researchers for consultation on participant engagement and recruitment.

The Youth Research Advisory Board (YRAB), sponsored by UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, brings together a panel of teens and young adults to offer a youth perspective on adolescent research. Members provide feedback on how researchers can effectively engage and communicate with younger participants.
