Internal Audits

Internal Audits

At the University of Pittsburgh, internal audits are conducted by the Education and Compliance Support for Human Subject Research (ECS-HSR) a Division within the Office of Research Protections, that aims to protect the rights and safety of research participants and support investigators in the conduct of quality research at the university. The ECS-HSR provides regulatory education and assistance to the research community and will conduct internal audits at the request of the IRB and other institutional offices or in response to a complaint from an employee or subject regarding the conduct of a study.
