Health Sciences Core Research Facilities
Shared research resources play a vital role in academic research and the technology required to perform innovative biomedical research changes rapidly. The Office of Research Health Sciences (OORHS) provides an interface between investigators, core research facilities, and central administration. The office maintains the Biomedical Research Resources Portal, a searchable database of facilities providing services and/or access to laboratory, data analysis, and computing equipment, spaces, and expertise in support of biomedical research. The Research Resources Coordinator, a member of the OORHS team, is available to assist you through technical consultation and identification of appropriate laboratory and/or analytical resources.
Shared resource facilities provide access to expertise, technology applications, and state-of-the-art instruments that are otherwise unavailable to most investigators. Facility scientists provide expert advice for study design, standard and custom applications and assist each investigator in taking their project aims from conception to data production. Scientific leadership works with you to adapt and apply methods appropriate to your scientific goals and ensure that the interpretation of the results is supported by the data.
