About This Event

Dr. Hoffman received her PhD in Behavioral and Community Health Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health, and her MPH in Behavioral and Community Health Sciences from University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health. She conducts research on popular media and health, with a particular focus on using media for health promotion and education. Specifically, she focuses on the portrayal of health topics on popular television programs and the use of media for health education (also known as entertainment education or edutainment).
