Research security focuses on safeguarding the research enterprise from threats such as espionage, intellectual property theft, and foreign interference, thereby ensuring the integrity of research processes. Recent federal legislation, including the CHIPS and Science Act, alongside emerging regulations, aim to enhance research security. This session will explore current and anticipated research security requirements and emphasize the critical role of adhering to research security principles in preserving the integrity of the research enterprise.
