The Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) at Pitt is excited to announce the awardees of the Virginia Kaufman Pain Research Challenge 2022: 

• STOPP: Stomp Out Peripheral Artery Disease Pain (PI: Edith Tzeng, MD) 
• Neuropeptide-Y Nasal Spray to Relieve Neuropathic Pain (PI: Bradley K. Taylor, PhD) 

Each awardee will receive funding of $50,000 to cover direct costs for a 12-month project as well as CTSI project management support for the duration of their award period. 

The Pain Research Challenge is an annual funding program sponsored by the Virginia Kaufman Endowment Fund, named after a prominent Pittsburgh advertising executive, and administered by the Clinical & Translational Science Institute at the University of Pittsburgh.
